ThermoTec Starter Heat Shield

The Starter Heat Shield developed to eliminate starter problems caused by close proximity of the exhaust to the starter. The radiant heat of the exhaust easily produces enough heat to destroy the windings of the starter and solenoid. To combat this problem, Thermo-Tec has developed an easy to install strap on heat barrier to reflect the radiant heat produced by an exhaust system. This universal kit enables the user to insulate the starter and solenoid. The unique construction of the aluminized material provides protection by reflection of up to 90% of radiant heat.
