AEM’s patented air bypass valve virtually eliminates the chance of hydro-lock in the event the filter of your AEM Cold Air induction system becomes submerged in water. The valve installs along the upper portion of the inlet pipe and shuts down induction at the filter when it becomes submerged, rerouting air through its external diaphragm to keep water out and air flowing in.

AEM manufactures its air filter elements. Our four-layer cotton-gauze filter elements deliver superior filtration and feature an integral air horn for improved flow. A special molding process and urethane body ensure that your AEM filter element lasts for the life of your vehicle (when maintained properly and cleaned using AEM's Filter Cleaning System)

Service your AEM filter element with AEM's Filter Cleaning System at least every 50,000 miles or 30 months to maintain optimum performance. We recommend that AEM filter elements be serviced every 25,000 miles or 15 months on off-road and high-performance street applications. If you live in a region with extremely fine dust (arid or desert climates for example, follow the recommended schedule for off-road and high-performance vehicles. Always inspect your filter element whenever you change your oil.
