     High performance ignition wires are one of the most overlooked performance upgrades available. Think you can't add performance to your engine with a set of Magnecor KV85 ignition wires? Think again. Stock ignition wires are built to transmit an adequate amount of ignition energy to the cylinder with zero radio frequency interference (RFI.) Magnecor is good with the concept of low RFI--no complaint there. But the manufacturer's definition of "adequate" lines up better with our definition of marginal. And it gets worse from there.

     You see, stock spark plugs wires are designed to last only 20-40 thousand miles at best, and less under severe conditions. Then the resistance becomes too great as the conductor breaks down that they either don't transmit energy at all, or transmit it by arcing to the nearest metal object in the path of the spark plug wire. Incomplete spark means incomnplete combustion, which means LOST PERFORMANCE.
